Yeah...the Christenson is special, I thought it was going to be a sometimes board but I think I ride it about 50% of the time and not just in small waves either, I had some great surfs in over head fullish waves on it. You get in waves so early you can swing it round and you're off. Love that board...if there was a fire it would be the first one I would grab.
As concerns the others there is no overlap as such...they all surf different, it's more about which board you want to ride on the day, I surf them all in all conditions pretty much.
The only one that I think is abit limited is the Bing. At 10'5 and with really old school rails it's a true nose rider....it's the most stable board ever...the tail drags and keeps the boards right in the spot and ever so stable, but when I have surfed it in 3 ft plus waves it feels like it drags abit and is quite slow, so i Keep it for smaller days.
The ITP would be the other one that I grab in shortboard only kind of waves...feels like a 6,2 compared to the others.
Other than that they all are awesome boards that all feel soo different but can surf all conditions.

Yeah ...love that board, got a couple of fresh fins to try on it over in Hawaii, not that it needed it as the one in it is perfectly matched....but had to buy something at Surf Garage!

That 11ft CC glider is insanely nice. That is a bucket list kind of board and the rest of them are very special too.

I've heard a few people say that about the CC glider that it goes well in all conditions. Certainly is timeless and the colour is super nice.

There was a good selection of Christenson boards at Surf garage in Hawaii...the CC in the corner was a 12ft! Would love to have a go.
Chris also had his own 11ft CC stashed at the back of the shop...I asked to hire it but he was due in town the next day.

Cracker quiver Glide, there's something about the longer boards that just draw you to them time and time again. Hence I'm trying to find an excuse to buy another board that's actually under 10', I don't own one anymore.

Don't find an excuse Vanders. If you love the big boys stick with them!! It's all about what you like not what people think you should be on.

Yeah the bigger ones are Rad.
i actually think there is a whole genre of boards that has kinda been forgotten.
Boards like a 10ft C Bucket....not gliders but not traditional round nosed Mals. I think for people who don't wanna nose ride and love the speed and glide then that style of board is pretty under represented!
I think some people call them Speed Shapes.

A CCglider shape in 10' would be perfecto!!

What are the dims sims on the 11'er Glide?

I have found with the narrower nose of the CC and "Gliders" in general is that they feel smaller when ridden.

The CC (11') is very refined and a completely different board than say my Josh Hall (11'8"). The thicknesses are about the same in the guts at the stringer but the rails and distribution of the thickness throughout the boards are like chalk and cheese. When riding the CC it gives off the feel of a board 1 foot shorter than its actual length. But the JH has a whole lot more thickness nose and tail and is a lot more board to handle.

After seeing how refined the CC was I got mine with the FCSII side plugs as I am riding this board (and really enjoying it) in bigger surf with more push - think 14-18 sec period swells breaking over reefs and points! That's where this board comes alive and with 2" side bites and 7" 4A it has so much drive off the bottom. In the water people often say it doesn't look or ride like an 11' board.

So, if you go 10' with the narrow nose just be careful because you may not get the same 'glide' out of the board that you were expecting.

I have found it very nice and easy / forgiving to ride lately after spending sometime on the sideline and lost total conference and a truck load of ability,so I feel like I'm starting fresh and all over again.I've found it a good step to getting back to where I once was and will be back on my other boards soon ( I hope ) but it really has been the board for the conditions we have had and as others have said thats what its all about,surf the wave and let the board do its thing and what it was designed for.
