Without people like SA the local Aussie shapers may be struggling even more so when the minimalist quiver owner do decide on a new one, be happy they are still in business

Now back to topic re tails..(geez I like that word) I've been riding rounded pins for years now and find that they turn really well, but again it might be a case of they just suit my "style"..

On crap waves I prefer a square /squash or a swallow tail over the round tail...yet a round tail works so well with quads...i just confused myself I think

haha funny mate.

OK my only beef is they don't do custom bags so I'm only able to purchase off the rack of some warehouse.
Ideally I would be ordering red and black with a touch of white, say a white zip.

Like I'm with most things I like to stick with the same brands so they are all Ocean & Earth AIR CON bags.
Like my surfboards they are all similar and do the same thing due to my limited skill level.
They range from 9.6 to 10.0 blue and black in colour, the silver one is on gumtree because it doesn't match the others.

Can't go wrong with a rounded pin for all round versatility, tried larger area tails squares, triple flyer diamonds and swallows but give me an area pintail for a one board quiver any day.
By the way Mac your quiver shot sucks I'm sure you could.get a bag made in Bali with your colour scheme check out Ramons board bags.

She reminded me of a place I surfed years ago and this lovely lady had forgotten her bikini so wore her undies n bra out AND knee paddled out in front of me it was a good day and seeing that shot brought back a great visual memory.thankyou

For me depends on the board.

Fish - swallow, the points give the wide tails something to grip off to turn.

Mids - pins, smooths them out and draws out the turn.

LB - HP / all rounder. small squares, squash tail, turn in shorter arc.

Nose rider. Wide square to slow down and trap in the wave.

Fins.. 2 + 1 or single on the mids and lb. Bonzer are good too on the mid length.
Quads on the fish (split keels are good) and
single on the Noserider.
