From today's Fitz Files in the Sydney Morning Herald:

YOU BEAUTY, MICK
Onya, Australia's triple world surfing champion and 2013 incumbent Mick Fanning. TFF heard a yarn this week about how Fanning immediately accepted a request from the Starlight Foundation to grant the wish of 15-year-old Nick Rozenauers - once he had recovered sufficiently from his liver transplant - to go surfing with him. Fanning surfed with the lad for an hour at Manly, before taking him shopping at Rip Curl, and insisting that he buy clothes and a fabulous wetsuit. Then he gave young Nick the board that he had used when he won the French ASP surfing event last year, signed by the top 20 surfers in the world. Bravo.

That was a good read. I also enjoyed this one - I imagine Weiry might as well

Here is Cricinfo's Vithushan Ehantharajah after the final T20 match of the summer: ''Nearly 50,000 were on hand to witness this 12th Australia win. If this tour were 101 days more, the crowds would still roll in. This isn't a country that gets bored with winning, especially when it is England that are doing the losing. The limited-overs leg has been the victory parade many hoped it wouldn't. Weary English cricketers were dragged to every corner of this vast country like Victorian truants. On display in stocks, they took pales [sic] of water, rotten fruit and mud pies in the face.'' I think he gets us!
