I reply mate at the bowls club with team Asea and all the LB gang from the comp.Hell he said,I'm coming down

Well we return to base camp and he is showing me his 808 sup as we share a bundy

I said hey mate dont forget to put your valve plug in before we surf tomorrow

he said sh-t I don't have one

so no surf for Lacy

So today we hit the road and head homewards,Lacey goes 10 minutes before me as I 30 mins out of Byron Lacey is on the phone, hey mac where are you

Lacey will fill in the rest

yeah, i'm driving along minding my own business, when i see what looks like a folding table slide off the roof racks of this car in front of me.
it hits the road and bounce up, i swerved to the left without thinking and nearly run off the road. just as i straighten up, a bang and i see my board floating away in the rear vision mirror.
first reaction is i'm pissed as. hop out the car to see my board and the table down the road. at that stage i had the presence of mind to stay off the road and walk down to the board hoping the cars don't run over it. i already know the damage will be bad
oh, btw the back rack on the canopy are stuffed- bolts gone rivets pulled out and track loose.
any way i managed to get the board and the separated fin and walk back to the car.
the other guys get the table and ask about me and the board. i think i'm a bit shocked and say i'll be right, but to their credit they hung around.
i ring mac, he's about 3 minutes away. mate the racks are stuffed, can i get you to take the board. he does.
as i have to tie the racks down. mac starts organising phone number etc and i switch on enough to help out. the guys in the other car help out with this too. we've taken numbers, photo's, will get a mac account, my account, a new board quote as the board is a right off and get the rack fixed and add that too.
so mac says go infront and i'll follow you to dales factory.
now driving the car back is when i start getting shaky and jittery- i realise i could have been mince meat on the side of the road.the table could have come straight through the window into me
i'm still shaky now to be honest
