Here it is. Nearly finished. Looking nice. This will be my fun gun. My wave hog gun.

In hind sight, The Rincon Logo looks a touch better on my Yellow Board.

That looks like a weapon mate, I'm guessing big Spazz can give us a rundown on how it looks in the flesh, didn't he post a photo of it in another thread?

Always liked that sky bluish colour, I had a few boards sprayed a similar colour.

Edit, photo Is below.

I like the Rincon '68 logo, because Bells has two main breaks. The Bells Bowl, and Rincon.

it's the new Simcon model, it will be out next year with the 69mac model, it will be part of bobs new seabreeze range in honour of the mass pimping he gets in this forum.

Seriously, yep it's a custom and I think StuK may have ordered one as well. But he might give us an update if I'm right..

ok we buy MCT boards and pay the extra $ for Bob to sign and shape,my question is how much of the shaping does Bob actually do

for ur average run of the mill custom it is not touched at all by bob, its put through a machine, like all stock boards

for bob to touch your board last i heard there was 2 options,

partly handshaped after the machine $200 extra

fully handshaped by bob $400 extra, hence the signing "fully Handshaped by bob mctavish"

Speaking to him a couple of weeks ago , I got the impression Bob still does a few .... along the lines of the Occasional Pin he did a while back (and that is a very nice board i'm hoping will still be available for a bit yet btw) dabbled a bit in the spoon work too I gathered.... he was covered in dust the day we all lobbed up
Then there's custom requests

late edito: it's a great looking girl Sim - that blue looks the real deal & the Rincon68 logo doesn't look out of place etc at all to me mate

Asea I will be ordering a hand shaped board from Bob and this will never get wet,it will be a wall hanger.

Why would you pay extra, because he's one of the TRUE pioneers of surfing who is still active in the shaping bay three days per week.
400 he will meet with you for an hour them surf with you for another and then return to finalize the custom order, that is value in my books.
After visiting some other well know shapers in the bay they need to clean their act up,both factory and shop front looked a mess.
