You guys are unbelievable. All this sh1t about which Brand is better than which... Its enough to make me puke.

McT makes great boards (I see a lot of guys in the water with them... probably the popouts for most but still nice boards).
From what I've seen SDR makes great boards (never seen one live so far...).

Would I buy either Brand? F**k no. Why? Because I believe in supporting my local shaper. Without him there's no local shop. And no local shop makes leggies and fins and wax and all the other stuff harder to get.

I spend a lot of time at Phillip Island. Bought an Island Surfboards 9'1" a few years ago. Hand shaped by Glyndyn Ringrose, one of the last WCT surfer who shaped his own boards. Do I like it? Sh1t yeah.

I also have a Rasta custom speedster shaped by Eiji in Torquay from when that was my local.

They're both great boards but would I rate them higher than the others? Not really. I think any half decent shaper in this great country is putting out some pretty impressive gear. Different shapers suit different people. Viva La Difference!!!


Oh and btw, Mac... Nice boards but not so sure about the colour schemes ... And that is supposed to be funny so take it that way.

Anyway get over it all of you. Surfing is about the stoke and sharing the waves with friends both new and old. There's too much aggro both in the water and out these days. Time to chill a bit.
