A visit to the CW crew today to see the new board glassed.

Unfortunately for Teena this board will be relatively plain & I know she struggles with plain but watching her work still amazes me, she makes it look so simple but I'm guessing its not.

Steve made a few mods to suit what I'm after, my goal with this board is to learn to nose ride but I still want more manoeuvrability than a traditional log.

So trusting Steve this is what he's shaped.

4oz fin patch




10oz volan bottom




Bottom almost finished






Unfortunately I got called away to deal with some work stuff before she got a start on the deck but it'll be ready to pick up on the weekend apart from a fin which will be something special, more to follow on that.

Nice mate,can I take it to Hawaii this dec,perfect south shore board.

Looks sweet Vanders, plain is sometimes the most stylish way to go.

I'm aiming to be on the wave nice & early & this will help that, my current 10'er is 3-1/2" thick & 24-1/4" wide & I love it.

Anyway if it's no good I've got an excuse to order another but Steve's never let me down yet in what he's shaped for me.

I asked the question yesterday & was told because it's volan it'll be alright. I'll take it anyway but may not wet it.

Don't over tighten the tie downs mate,you do your road trip and I'll take good care of it

Its down at Denmark this weekend with one of the state championship comp managers. I'll catch up with him Tuesday & ask how its going. Still negotiating atm & I also want to pop into the local Clearwater shop to see if they have some boards on offer as well. But I think I might be able to spare a bit of coin with the extra cash working the recent public holidays
