232 fatalities In how many years?
Where do these stats come from?
What about the presumed drowned stats?...No body was found??? Couldn't have got eaten could they?
232 in 225 years that's how long ago (1791) they started keeping records on shark attacks, earliest records will be variable im sure depending on reporting im sure, but thats all we have so far, google it dude, or better still go through the countless records reports and data that James Cook Uni , UWA and UNi of Tassie have, theres a heap of well documented information out there. its interesting stuff.
SO now presumed drowned is considered a shark fatality? Because no body was found ?Ahh OK then. Interesting outlook, but to those unfamiliar with marine biology i guess understandable to look at that way.
So take that for a minute, I've no idea how many people are presumed drowned with no body identified, and if no body found how they've been presumed drowned, hell they could be anywhere, but lets just say there were another 200 of them in the last 225 years, that would be just over how many Australians have been killed on our Roads from January to now. Its still a comparison of Hundreds over hundreds of years to Hundreds over a few months.
Seriously dude, do some research, either way it will cement your view one way or the other but at least it will be backed by useful information and data regardless of which way your opinion settles.
