There was a bit of a wave at the South today mate & no where near as many people as usual on a Saturday. Bit of a small runner off the side of a gully created by a rip yesterday a lil further South with no one out that would have been all right on a bigger board. Waves were waste high with a lil more shape once the tide started filling in after 0900, the the water temp & general temp has been nicer than Indo. I stayed out for a couple of hours & will be down there the next couple of days from about 0850. Noticed the young blokes get down early & bail about 0900 just as the tide improves shiz. There were only 2 boogers & a chick on a mini mal when I left at 1000

I had waist to chest high 50 m+ drainers this morning, really hollow. Some of 'em were throwing wider than high, super punchy. Funnest surf I've had in months.

Well in that case it was head and a half Mick.

Was a weird morning, two swells running, SSW weak as piss at about knee high and then every 8-10 mins we'd get about 6 super punchy ones outa the West, really fast moving swell. We were just lucky that every time someone pulled up it was during the flat spells. Had it to ourselves for 5 1/2 hours, so rooted now.

Pup you could always get off ya date and go for a drive, you're only a couple hours from The Cape ya slack bugger

Glad you got a few Pup - I have not surfed this weekend but am hoping tom morning will be good over this way. Will probably paddle out whilst its still dark in anticipation of some good ones. Can not wait for daylight savings to end soon as its not getting light till close to 6am and that really impacts my morning surf time when I have lots of work to do. End of daylight savings normally equals the golden period of waves here as well - so bring it on

No good here either . Decent south swell yesterday but the wind was into it and the protected spots were not getting swell. Did a long paddle yesterday around a headland here yesterday Arvo and was creeped out about sharks the whole time. Had to paddle the river today but hoping I might get a a wave tomorrow Arvo.
