8am their time looks like its 4am yr time....early - only 5am here so I get a sleep in

waves not heavy enough so no action today....forecast looking mighty heavy for Friday - which would be our Saturday.....next call in 24 hrs.

Dam half the GC woke up from a heavy sleep bummer.

Hope we dont have to wait till Friday for the next heat. The suspense is crazy.
Unfortunately, I have this funny feeling Kelly is going to do his usual trick and pull a rabbit out of a hat and win the entire event and therefore the title. Just hope Joel can hold his nerve and stop this from happening.

Its funny Tux but he was really annoying me as well for a moment there so i thought I better find out who he was and was a little shocked what I found out. There is an interesting 30 min interview of him floating around. Sounds like he has worked pretty hard and was good at what he did whilst still keeping his dream of action sports activites alive. Looks like he has lived a pretty interesting life.....still his post heat questions leave a little to be desired....

not checked tonight but this morning it seemed it was still a few days away sadly.

looks like Friday their time so Sat morning here - check Friday just in case though

BRIEF OVERVIEW: Minor NW swell prevails for the next couple days. A good size NW swell will build in and be strongest Friday, after beginning to initially show around sundown Thursday. Strong and gusty ENE trades continue for the next several days.

TUE (11th)
SWELL/SURF: Small leftovers from the NW and basically flat at Pipe.
WIND/WEATHER: Strong and gusty ENE trades.

WED (12th)
SWELL/SURF: Small NW swell pulses up, but surf is generally shoulder high and below.
WIND/WEATHER: Strong and gusty ENE trades.

THUR (13th)
SWELL/SURF: Small NW swell continues, similar in size to Wednesday afternoon. Possible first signs of new, long period WNW swell showing around sundown.
WIND/WEATHER: Strong and gusty ENE trades.

FRI (14th)
SWELL/SURF: New, long period WNW swell builds in further with 6-10'+ faces at Pipe and some occasional larger sets if the storm continues to behave as forecast. Due to the swell period and swell direction, the vast majority of waves will show at Pipe.
WIND/WEATHER: Strong and gusty ENE trades.

SAT (15th)
SWELL/SURF: WNW swell fades through the day. Surf is in the 4-8'+ range on the face, strongest in the morning.
WIND/WEATHER: Strong and gusty ENE trades.

1-2 ft - so not on as we thought. Swell predicted to arrive late Thur and should be cooking on Friday (their time) so looks like an early wake up on Saturday morning chaps for the last day.

F----- contractors up the road have taken out telstra line.

No telephone, no internet and talking about no repair to monday.

At mates house waiting on line to talk to human not machine.

Can deal with not been able to run home business but am completly panicking about no access to watch the masters tomorrow morning!!!!!!

I know everyone was really worried about my lack on internet.

You can all stop worrying as Telstra came to the rescue and fixed line.

Only issue is my phone number rings next door and I am getting their calls.

So close but no cigar Telstra !!

Anyway I am using next doors internet access and apparently they have unlimited down loads.

Now if I was a pr--- I could give that one a test but all I care about is that at 2am I can watch the comp.
