I talked it up for Cobra. Flat out top speed is about 28 (GPS measured) and I can maintain 20-22 for multiple kms. So it was probably 20-22, but that whip as you come down - ouch! Sounds like you know exactly what I mean.

And since you asked Macaha, some people have been very welcoming, some people ignored my existence. I figured since it was such an obvious crew of regulars it would take time. I am pretty resilient about things so just kept posting until my charm, wit and enthusiasm won some people over, but I think many others would find it intimidating to post. I started posting to learn things after seeing what longboards could do on the East coast last year and deciding I wanted some of that action and I recognised expertise and knowledge here I wanted to access. Not everyone has had the opportunity to yet be a longboard guru and that could make people feel like they have nothing to offer which is a shame. Me? I have lots of surfing experience on lots of different types of boards in different waves so some of that is transferable and I have just chucked in my two bobs worth.

And yet I have still been too nervous to post some questions. Mickpc answered one this arvo in your latest thread. I wondered what I was doing wrong with nose riding yet didn't want to ask because of some members penchant for flippant throw away remarks they think funny, but are certainly derogatory. Conversely I knew some would be very helpful, but was it worth the crap?

BTW, I think I am too far out on the shoulder as I don't move to the nose to ride the nose, but move there to trim through sections then, once that is achieved, think to get the toes over and the tail is lifting. I need to try getting the toes over as an end in itself, not as an afterthought to maintaining speed through fat bits.

Interesting topic started from probably the best "thread killer" on the breeze who obviously operates on the theory "stick a fcken Mctavish board shot in there, that'll kill it" & turn it around to me. Well, surprisingly this modus operandi has worked & the site is dying, who the **** would have thought that would have happened!.
I could not believe that my "Miller Subx" thread went for so long given the number of times that, the small core on here ( I can only believe you guys must be old friends & that you're taking the piss out of each other but it does not translate on here), attempted to hi-jack this thread and every other fken thread, on here. In the end it was only the people who wanted to talk about the 'board/s" kept the thread going until the hi-jackers eventually gave up & the thread puttered along for over a year with 20k+ views.
Man, I'm all for giving each other a rev up but FFS give it a rest, what about Roy & his fins, Fkuc talk about jump down his throat, ****c there just fins & he's attempting something new so what was the big deal with giving him a pizzling over it. If he was a seppo from Big Company half of ya would've of rushed out & brought them at twice the price, I mean jeez! No wonder people won't post or comment.
What is so fken wrong about someone talking about or giving credit to an Ozzie shaper for a board that they have brought or want to know about, that isn't a fken Mctavish, without them getting howled down about pimping, FFS!
For sure have some fun that's what it's all about, I think but the site needs new headings, A. Shortboards. B. Midlenghts, C. Longboards, D. New tech/shapes. E.Bull****.

To be fair the issue was with me not the board, too little time to surf so any opportunity to do so I just wanted to ride a longboard.

I have nothing bad to say about the subx as a board.

So, if someone wants to post about boards they love they should be able to without being accused of pimping. It's only pimping if they are profiting, FFS. I for one am really interested in what variations Mac goes for in his McTs (different rocker or thickness, or rounded pin over square tail) but I know it would turn into a bit of a sh!tfight.
