Hey Teacake,

I am sure you have probably covered this somewhere else, but how are you finding the ECS log?

Is it a 'Classic' or a 'Modern'? Size?
How is it holding up?

Hey Damo,

It is one of the classic logs, as seen here http://www.ecsboards.com.au/classic-log1.

A 9'2 this one.
Holding up great, and no bias because they sponsor me, I can honestly say that it holds up really well. Very strong. The only dings I have on it are a few scratches from where I was riding with no leggie and it washed onto the rocks and also a few small dings from having it in the ute, in no board bag and four will driving Carelessness for both on my part

If you are after one, there should be a whole lot of new boards in within the next few weeks, keep an eye out on ebay or contact ECS via their website.

Cheers,
Tom.

They've actually had some delamination issues with 2012 & 2013 stock that came from the old factory (China). Be very wary if your buying one of these boards second hand, have a good look before you buy. New stock from a new factory with improved QC is arriving soon. If you buy new & there are manufacturing problems, they do look after you.

I have an ECS board myself that I bought as a cheap backup & its a good board that has had no problems after 14 months. Surfed it in double overhead Airport rights, overhead middle reef & very sucky East coast Bali waves that have tested its strength...If your thinking of one of these boards I'd say go for it, but only buy one new imo...

Everyone has their own experiences, mine have been good

I change boards regularly too, trying new shapes and seeing what I like, I am on a new stick every year as a minimum!

Haha yeah we do get fun waves. And we do get rights but less frequent. Need south swells for the rights but when we get the south swell the lefts pump as well so we surf those

very good surfing tc.

just one thing for you .try not dropping your inside arm. you'll get more torque if you keep it up countering the outside arm.

again pretty good surfing i reckon- envious

Cheers mate. By my inside arm, which one do you mean? The one that I use to drag myself around on the round house?

yeah that arm. but you drop it for every turn. watch mick fanning, Kelly etc and you'll see what I mean. they don't drop that arm very much

hey its a minor thing but I reckon it would give you move oommp. your very good btw

Ok man thanks for the feedback. Appreciate it. It's always hard to notice things in your own surfing so feedback is also good.

Cheers Lappus.
