Just a bit of fun.I had a custom mct fireball made last year more nose lift pulled in nose etc glassed 2x6x4 3 inches thick by 223/4 wide. When I picked the board up the rails looked like they were 4inches thick.I mentioned this to the person at the factory and he said all fireballs had thick rails.Anyhow I took it and it works fine on point waves but on beack breaks with a bit of white water around really belts the thick rails.Ive always said that if you see a rack board that you like buy it instead of a custom.

Asea (and Bob and the boys), thanks again for that beautiful McTavish EvoII. I'm reasonably certain I'll snap her some day. But the first phone call from the beach will be an emergency call back to McTavish Headquarters, for a fast tracked replica!

Beautiful drive from the fin cluster, and beautiful drive and slide from the rails. The rail tuck line is just perfect. An absolute gem of a board. In the future, my EvoII No.II will probably get the same blue bands too!

Tankchamp, I have no doubt that your boards are great ones, and that they work for you. Yes, I'd love to have a go on them. I'll PM you my address, and you can freight them on down !

I have a recurring dilemma.... Bells or Winki.... Bells or Winki.... I know I'll have fun, no matter what I ride!

I think a trip to Vicco is on the cards

simondo.I should give you a go on my 9 foot Jye Byrnes custom or my Pieter 9 footer and you just might think twice about the Mctavish

Pmsl... Geez I hope you were joking? Both make nice boards but they are not in Bobs league.

And anyway NSD makes better boards than both of them.. Hahahaha..

Haha, that was actually the initial attraction, I snapped 3 LBs one year when I was at school so was looking for something cheaper than what else was around and I've actually had a few over the years since and they've been pretty good boards, no better or worse than ones I've had off other local shapers but bob is in a different category, he is a designer not just a shaper and no way you could put a price on the experience and knowledge that goes into his boards.
