October is meant to be just fun smallish waves. Although I'm sure there will be some swell magnet spots thrown in. There always is...

I was originally thinking about a mid-length and a semi-gun. But quickly thought that a Longboard and a Step-Up would be better.

Bob has confirmed he is taking a 9'0 EvoII Epoxy Custom (semi-experimental), and a 9'1 Original Tufflite. Actually I need to confirm with him that I can get some rides on his gear. I'm sure I can.

Vice versa, he will have options on my 9'1 EvoII and his old Yellow Dream Machine Rincon '68, 7'10 Step-Up.

I did a trial fitting on the 9'1 and 7'10 into my 9'6 Travel Bag. Like a glove baby! Really good fit. Very happy. Don't have to invest in more equipment.

Getting excited! 125 foot cruiser.
Bob told me I'm the 'young punk' on the tour!

You should have a ball Simondo - hope you get some decent swell. My mates who go every year love Honkies. They rave about it when its 4 to 6 ft. From what I hear the waves are not too slabbie - more nice long walls - the longboards will eat it up. I would be taking a nice 6'10 pintail just in case

Yeah, my 6'10 Round Pin had become my 7'10 Squashed Round Pin. Squash Tail, but a very close sibling to Rounded Pin.

Second only to Lohis, which is just a quick sail away...... Better wave at pasta though....

If I went again I'd take a
All round 9ftr
Midlength... Everday type board..
Step up? Maybe just something a bit like your everday board but a bit gunnier... The 6'10 pin is a good suggestion, I had a 6'8 MR when we went. Most of the boys we went with just ended up riding there everday type boards most of the time, with the occasional change up... One bloke rode a 7'2 single everday and had no problems at all, even on the biggest days.

Lots of wall on the waves, not overly sucky but some spots can be.

Well boys, we fly out on Thursday morning, and route through Singapore. Back on Monday Week during the day.

They have mentioned that there is Internet/WiFi on the boat, but I'm not holding my breath. Even if it is available, it might only be at the bigger ports, unless this mega-boat is just direct to satellite!? Who knows...

So maybe there will be some photo updates along the way. Otherwise if I'm totally MIA, just assume no internet and I'm surfing my nuts off!

I'm mostly packed. Including new stocks of wax and sunscreen!

I know it's bad but I am so envious of you Simondo, hope you get plenty of good waves and no doubt the conversations will be exceptional from the legend.

Enjoy, Spiro

Just landed in Singapore Sling Land. Ultra smooth flight. Best ever. 3 movies, 4 beers and a bourbon. 3 seats all to myslef. Felt like first class!

Just checking in on you blokes!

Jumping over to T2 in a moment, and should catch the guys at the gate in due course.

Hopefully you guys get some nice waves in you parts too.
It's been pumping lately down around Torquay. I've given that Pin Tail a thorough testing. It's still in 100/100 condition too. I bet there wouldn't even be a heel print through the Volane Glass! I rate that board very highly!

I was telling Mac that the surf has been so good lately, that I don't even need a surf trip away!

Here's one story out of 100 stories. Bob goes to Seabreeze everyday for swell and wind forecasts, but he was unaware of a Longboard Forum.

Honest to god!!
