Yep agree with Simondo, a tufflite board...or even one of those foamie ones for learning.
Don't be turned off by how cheap they are, they go very well & are excellent for learning

I agree with the tufflite option for learning but not sure about the foam, Suppose it depends on what you get. Tried my old foam beginner board this summer and when pushing up, it just flexed away in the middle, and sprung back when I lifted my hands. I would recommend using a hard board from the get go.
