Gee right now what you wouldn't give for a couple fo solid middle order blokes like Brad hodge or David Hussey....Matty Wade needs to come in and Shane Watson needs to go or bat way down the order...I reckon the it whould look something like this top three you could raffle between hughs/Kuwaja and the blokes i have picked they are all pretty **** at the moment :

its not your bowlers causing the grief but your batters. 6 tests lost in row with the batsmen being the cause. Take J. Root (poor old Warner should have hit him a bit harder ) he was 29 off 93 balls.....he stuck it out then runs started to flow and he made 180. Compare that to the idiotic shot selections by people like Hughes trying to force the issue. They need to learn to hold up their end and be patient - the runs will come. I thought $2 at the bookies was to generous in test 2 after getting $2.75 in the first. Good work by Clarke, Rodgers and Smith...Kuwaja was seriously dudded by one of the worst calls ever and hopefully thats Watsons Second last innings because he is seriously sucking!!

So what did we end up with ?
Ted's bet was safe when Watson went for 19 (I think) i.e. Clarke to score more runs then Watto.

Watson - 2nd innings will be defining time for his career.

3rd umpire needs to go to Specsavers.

I also had Clarke to get a 50 - so all up a very successful nights work whilst I was sleeping

Australia played well on a very very flat pitch. Might go to 5 days this one As for Watson - if Wanrer gets runs then it might just be - But Lehman did come out and back him on day one when he took over so maybe he will get one more crack.

the rain was forecast all week and now its arrived......good to see a contest though at long last. Seems this series could be remembered for all of the wrong reasons and how cricket failed in its quest to incorporate technology into its decision making process. Maybe Tendulkar was right all along.
