Is this the answer Mac,,,
Where is the whip??
All about leg length to rail thickness...

...

www.redbull.com/au-en/

or one, did you know your leg length determines your board's dimensions?

It was around this time last year when I shot an animated portrait of the shaper Matt “Mayhem” Biolos. The short film was for the effervescent energy drink co Red Bull and was intended to reveal the full arsenal of Biolos’ opinions on design.Thirty years a a shaper is a dope stash you want to raid. What can you learn? How about the importance of your stance and leg length to your shaper? How about the worst design fad of the last five years?Did you ever wonder what board someone like Biolos would ride if he couldn’t jam on his own design?

What a joke, so should guys who drop in and burn have to wear a rash vest with a big "D" front and centre

Some surfers really think they are so elitist its just sad..

I enjoyed that. Some funny lines in it - wonder which way the doco will go. BB just sold his place in Manly for a small fortune.

Thats the most skid lidding I have ever watched. Can not believe how proud they were of their origins - they should have been embarrassed They would not have survived in NZ with that attitude. Would have been told to stand up or go home !

Whenever I think of Cronulla this comes to mind

The former Santa Cruz pro Anthony Ruffo and his life as a dealer of methamphetamine…(Editor’s note: The documentary Learning to Breathe, a long-form film about the former Santa Cruz pro Anthony Ruffo and his life as a dealer of meth and how it ruined his community, costs $US7.99 to watch on iTunes. For the next 72 hours, it’s free to watch at BeachGrit.)

Interesting indeed SP, and the part about Hakman only having $3K to his name up in Qld, after he'd been given the flick from the company in the states, would definitely be true because when he was offered Europe in 1984, he didn't have enough money to get over there.

He had to borrow a few grand of his brother in law, plus possibly one other guy, I've never asked his brother in law if he ever thought that he would see the money, but I think he would have been worried. History tells us that Hakman did make Europe work, even if he did have a minor stumble or two, and by 2003, he was gone form Quicky in all but a consultancy capacity, with money in his pocket. He didn't forget those that helped him when he needed it, his brother in law got his money back, and a nice bit of interest thrown in to the equation (even though by that time, neither of them were married to their original spouses).

But in my opinion the best was yet to come, when in 2003 he called his ex brother in law to invite him on an all expenses 2 week surf cruse around Indo as a 50 birthday present to the ex brother in law who helped him out when he needed it.

classic quote

"Watching Mick was all time on Sunday even when he dropped in on my mate Tommy Hatcher," said Matt Coleman, who captured Fanning on this long drainer. Coleman had absolutely no issue with the apparent violation. "He is entitled to any wave out at Snapper. He's the champ."

So does he get any money for his efforts or just exposure?

No money but exposure,he is happy with that,he has been contacted by Red Bull asking for more footage of MF,which had some money value but sadly he has little of MF.I met a guy who Lacey knows of a while back and his full-time job is filming for the WSL,dream job or what.
