7'0"x21 1/2'x 2 1/2" chrispy

Hey Arkgee - whats the best way for an amateur like myself to put some deep concaves in - do not want to use a planner - too scared Shall I just attack with a sanding block and take it nice and slow? I am worried that I will not be able to blend them in nicely and evenly.

thats a lot of sanding Ted...you can go slow with the planer as well....measure the depth of concave you want...as primitive as it sounds...a rusty nail works good...just push it into the foam next to the stringer to the depth of concave you want, and plane down to it...you will see the mark it leaves in the foam, plane down most of it and sureform and sand the rest....good luck

Thanks arkgee for the top tip - I will give that a crack.....I hate having to sand more than I need to but had been happy to take baby steps this early on I will take some cement pills and harden the farrrk up.

9'3"x23 1/2"x2 3/4" a new addition to the logger rhythm series...the "lady finger" the plan shape is derived from my silk model



bottom shape is concave running through to a heavy roll through the tail



the curvaceous lady finger has the most rocker of all the logger rhythms models....more aimed at small beach breaks but still a good performer at the points



fin is way forward and deep with a lot of rake



the lady finger is glassed light for a log 6+6+4 I can not understand why all loggers must be heavy who writes the rule book anyhow....the lady finger is nimble

I have seen quite a few dead kooks and other brands tinted that are not glossed. I like them,but I always wonder what they would look like glossed.

Chrispy if they were glossed they would be shiny

I think sun surf and sand is a very hostile environment for a full gloss finish.....I finish coat all my boards...up to the customer if they want it buffed or wet rubbed....the matt finish of a wet rub is a very user friendly finish IMO...it takes no time to bring it back to the day it left the shed...just rub it with some wet and dry.... and way easier to repair..... as well as if you leave it in the sun it wont golf ball like the shiny's will, and yes Ted...a lot of work.....its a funny thing that it has turned almost into an old man thing...ask any kid if he wants his shorty buffed and he will most always say na it makes em look old fashioned
