Haha your a braver man then me Billboard going out with no wettie this time of the year .your right the water is a bit fresh I try and avoid duck diving at all costs . The crown jewels are kept tucked way nice and warm inside of 4 mm of material , with a nice warm gel pack near by on the colder days .

I was told today "you're not wearing a wetty - the waters only 12 degrees"

I guess that explains the shrinkage then !!!

How does 12 degrees compare to the rest of Australia and NZ

.was talking to a bloke that surfed northern NSW last week reckons it was 21 degrees up there , not sure if he was pulling my leg or not .

Am surprised that is such a big difference between us and you .
Must all depend on water currents as well as air temp etc .
Apparently here around x- mas time our water was actually warmer then water temps around Sydney due to the easterly water currents running at that time . Was such a rare event made the front page of the local paper .
Was great while it lasted .

BB, you surfed in 12 degree water without a wetty, that's insane, you're nuts must have been trying to push your eyeballs out of the way.

And to think I had a moan just recently about having to put a cold pair of sluggos around my Christmas crackers.

Would be interesting to compare Bulldog ..your right about the arctic waters .have been down to Bruny Island ,f..k it's cold once you hit the waters from the southern ocean .

OB it's amazing how fast you acclimatize to different temps . We laugh at the Queensland tourists ( the locals call them terrorists ) now rugged up in snow gear while we are going for a surf . 2 years ago that would have been us .
