Here's a special Friday Night Drop. The Williams Organic Pale Ale. A fuller flavoured ale. Quite pale in colour, but has the taste of the redder beers. Like having 20% of a red beer mixed in. It has a lovely full flavour of hops and malt. And to be honest, it has a tiny after taste which is similar to chewing on juvenile green buds! That fruity grassy flavour which is quite unique!

In the background is the newish Cooper's 62 Pilsner. Gets it's name from the year Coopers started brewing... 1862. Cool Cooper's interaction can be found here!

Privately Owned !! Both Williams & Coopers are privately owned brew houses. So the vast majority of your money stays right here in Australia.

Sadly Mac, Bundy was sold off to Diageo in 2000. So your boys are actually in bed with the likes of Smirnoff, Johnnie Walker, Jose Cuervo (features on 2 and a half men), Moet, Verve, and Guinness. Great company, but they are big multi nationals... not necessarily bad, it's just the way it is.... Diageo even owned BURGER KING at one point !

AliCat on here donated me this case of Williams Pale Ale.... She used my 17 footer to win a race. 1st prize was a Fanatic 12'6 SUP Board for herself, and she picked up a random prize for something else, and chose this case of beer, and donated it to me !! That was Australia Day this year.... I only drink these full flavoured ones every now and again... They are valued up around $60-$75 per case.... so not quite every day drinking...

I also rang a local brewer this week, and they have placed me on their list of tasters... No charge, no strings... they invite their tasters along for a taste every 3 months, and get their feedback... I was speaking to their GM, and he even said, "we need punters from the public like yourself, to gauge our brews"...

By Christ the William's is a nice drop ! Just about finished it now !

Mac, if I saw you more often, my nickname for you would be Dago, or maybe Diageo if I needed to talk you up infront of the ladies !! - Just 1 on 1... a variation of Diageo who owns Bundy!

Talking to myself !

(The Chairs) - My grandpa made them and carved them Mac !! They are Australian Blackwood, and would equally as valuable as "recycled looking teak" stuff that is at a few nice furniture stores these days!

TB's turn tonight,I've got this feeling the Warriors will run over Benji's team.
Benji gets hurt in the first 20 minutes.

I don't think I have TRULY enjoyed beer since I used to sit in the pub in Flemington road on a friday night and drink redback on tap Ah - those really were the good old days - sh#t, chicks even used to like me back then (after 10 redbacks even I looked good)

And come to think of it - used to also get the old redback on tap at the "sherlock holmes" tavern in, I think Collins st ? (simon will know the spot depending on his age)

The only things I miss about Melbourne are Victoria Park and the pubs.

Mate I have lost count of the pubs in Melbourne I staggered out of and was carried out of in the late 80s/early 90s - gotta say though that in all those years of debauchery and drunkeness I never ever had any dramas in the pubs down there or even nightclubs for that matter. I wonder if it was just a different time and we were all less aggressive because it was just the piss we were under the influence of and not the cocktail of drugs and grog that everyone seems to be on nowdays.

Thanks Vanders - you have officially made me feel facking old by mentioning young & jacksons (ahhhh how I miss chloe)

Mate I was drinking Boags from the time I could hold a can on my own (literally) and have been a fan of good beer for most of my life. I don't drink a lot full stop, but I do quite enjoy wheat/dark and sweeter beers but not really any of the really expensive "wanky boutique beers".
I particularly like (and buy) Monteiths Black, Budweiser, Redback, Coopers Sparkling and Fosters when I can find it.

Probably my two faves are Fosters and Bud'
