From my understanding the Fireball square tail has a flatter rocker than the pintail version.
The UFO comes standard with pulled in nose and pintail.
The Redline comes standard with triple stringers.

So size wise the new log would be 9.6 x 23 x 3.

So what do you guys think

9'6 x 23 x 3 almost sounds like boring standard dimensions...

My Brewer is 9'6 x 23 x 3"1/8. It goes unreal! And if it was 9'6 x 23 x 3 it would still go unreal!

I actually think 9'6 x 23 x 3 is a real benchmark... Would be funny to have a comp where you could only ride 9'6 x 23 x 3... 1 HP Comp, and 1 Log Comp... But maybe the HP Benchmark is actually 9'1 x 22"1/2 x 2"3/4.

Why don't you have a look at the Gleave model Mac. Something completely different and you probably wouldn't be disappointed. They might even have a demo to try.

Yeah, good call SMH. The Ray Gleave Godfather would be cool as a Single too. You could drop in Side Biters later if needed / wanted.

Get it tinted up, not sprayed!

I love my UFO and not into my square fireball and the redline has too much volume so thinking of a two board quiver.

UFO a dead set keeper and one between the redline and fireball.

I reckon it would paddle and trim really fast with the flatter nose rocker and that diamond tail is something different as well. When you have had the fireball, original, UFO and redline already why wouldnt you give it a go ?

Mac, I'd try and demo The Ray Gleave. Otherwise get Bobbie McTavish to create the Mac62 Model. A blend of the Fireball & The Redline.

I would be seriously looking at the Ray Gleave Model

I think there is a spot for one of these in my quiver at some time in the future.

The answer was staring you in the face wasn't it!? But sometimes you just need someone else to stand back, take a look with a fresh set of eyes, and give you the answer!

I think the Mac62 Model has real merit for certain enthusiasts.

Seems that the boys at McTavish have just come up with it recently...

http://www.mctavish.com.au/surfboard/62Mac-model

Description
The 62Mac is a classic board blended with a little bit of high performance. We took the Redline and the Fireball and fused them together. It will perform in a wide range of conditions, with a slight orientation to classic riding, but you can jam it hard off the bottom if you want to. It's a classic looking board available in triple stringer, splayed stringers, or single stringer. Only available in tints and pigments. We can do this board in rounded pin, square, and we can even cut a diamond into the tail. Available as either a single, or with side bites. By custom order only.
