There are a few brands I would bag on here,yet only mctavish get mentioned. My bagging comes at their price point,they are no better than most others when it comes to quality,and they lack when it comes to innovation and design.
I have stated many times before that they are marketed at the old,reminisce and kook brigade,and good on them,the boys are making a fortune.
It really comes down to 1850 for a board from them with a name or 1100 from someone who thinks out their shapes and actually makes the board. So I laugh really at their loyal following. The only person on seabreeze who actually supports the mctavish name is the grom man as he pays the extra coin so Bob mctavish actually has something to do with the board. First up your pricing is incorrect,secondly Bob is a dam good part of the heart and soul of surfing I think you know that don't you?
Bob shapes 2 too 3 three days per week for the rich as you have been referring too for weeks,each board is shaped by machine only
after each model has been signed off on by Bob then it has a file made,McT only use the finest raw materials,Bob is a legend and a major
part of surfing history and many boards made by others are based on Bobs many years in the industry.Once a board is shaped his son Ben
hand finishes each board,they employ the best in the game also worth a little extra.I was in a factory the other day and the guy tells me he
is making a knock off of a mctavish involvement too funny are all the other shapers making 100% of there boards NO for a fact.

We all have our own brands but please stop bagging others or and their brands

That just answered why I say what I say. No real answer to.my questions. Over it haha . As I said if you want to be a true mctavish follower, then.take the lead of the grom man. My prices are pretty on the mark as well. I understand about being loyal but you are taking it to level without basis. The I'm just a hater lol

Chrispy I'm all for people following the people who serve them well so far mct have served me well.if I was to ever big call get another brand it would without question be a Goddard.
