Seems I know a few people that are going down the cruiser path. Even thinking of replacing the SUP with one.

So if you wanted to define a "Cruiser Class" how would you do it?

Is it length, rocker, width, volume?

maybe minimum dims;

Length; 10ft
Width; 23 & 1/2
Thickness; 3 & 1/2

rocker ??

Daneli I would define my new 10 footer as a cruiser 10 foot by 24 by 3 1/2 really soft forgiving rails, bit of lift in the nose and tail heaps of volume, easy paddler a cruisy board to surf walk around a little bit on it, turn it if you can be farked turnin go straight, left right, single string light glass job easy to carry just generally an all round cruisy board. Oh and a single fin

My Brewer 9'6 is a Hyper-Form Cruiser!
As Mac said, loads of volume is probably a primary requirement. But a HUGE Volume 9'6 would be a massive cruiser for say a 70kg person.
But yeah, circa 10'0 x 23"1/2 x 3"+ would be cruiser territory.

Allows you to cruise surf without a paddle!

A large surfboard, well armed and equally capable of operating in soft waves, 666 conditions, crowded points and super small conditions. Larger than a traditional log, it is usually the largest prone paddler in most native lineups today, short of 666 aircraft carriers. Few natives can afford to buy a cruiser in addition to a traditional longboard, so a quiver with even a single cruiser is considered respectable. Although very common among natives until the start of the short board revolution, cruisers are expensive to purchase and are now mostly only found in the long point break waves of Byron, Nossa , Crescent and Snapper where minted rich pricks hangout with hipsters
