Call for new moderators... pffft!

Lets get serious!
Lets talk about who's got which new board on their minds...
Are you in a situation where you can't stop thinking about that next beautiful masterpiece... ??

Or have any of you recently put in any new board orders?

Tell us!!

Nice thread mate!

I mainly ride lonboards but wanted a 'shortboard' in the quiver just to spice it up a bit, have trialled various boards in the past, some good, some bad.

Have just bought a near new 6'5 fish - low nose rocker, plenty of meat in the nose, nice and thick and just looks **** hot IMHO! Got it for a bargain as well with a new board bag and fins.

Have had a couple of surfs on it but nothing clean and long, cant wait to get it on a good day.

As is the case with stepping down to a shortboard i need to adjust my attack a little bit but its all good, always learning!

Love the new board stoke!

Mate, it's all 666 action for me for now.

Just took possession of a new 9'2, 12'6 and 14'.

Coming soon will be a nice retro 6'0 though. I'm feeling like my longboard quiver is highly malnourished so maybe I need one of these soon as well.......

if you have an old single fin that you need to move please advise me

I have permission to replace part of my quiver this year from the war office. My 5'10" is falling apart and the 6'2" has seen better days as well - she is well aware of this. I wanted to go down the JD route (as I believe Legion has a few yrs back) and get myself one of his lovely creations but I still have not yet decided what to get from him. An all rounder? A small wave speciality? Or something for when its bigger. My big board the 6'6" is less than a year old and is in great nick so no need to really be replacing that one. But because I have dithered I have limited my options as the JD's are about a 3 month wait but I am away for the month of June which is when I want it most........I am keen to make a few more boards so have decided to replace the small wave and all rounder with a Ted shape. I have spent the last 6 weeks doing lots of research on building my own eps boards and think this is the route I will go now. I am expecting to farrrk a few up along the way

I may have done a naughty thing & put a deposit on a Steve Del Rosso custom today, had no intention of doing so until a fateful meeting with a certain loose breezer dude this morning, add a coffee & a few beers and it was arranged for me to have a shop visit to meet with Steve, loose breezer dude's final words were "You'll order a board, I know you will" & that I did.

Steve is a super nice bloke who was as insightful & accommodating as you'd get.

Now the wait begins.............

So what the story/history with the girl he's got doing the tints & resin work? Apparently she's a wiz at what she does.

I was thinking a 10' but Steve was positive he could give me what I wanted in a 9'8x24x3-1/2, with the volume in the right places, he's calling it a HP cruiser with 2x1 setup, it'll have a tint & resin bleed with cut laps.

Good News
I got a new wide arsed 6'4 this arvo!

Bad News
The nose was dinged...but luckily right on the tip, which is about the best place to ding a board I guess, apart from the tail. So I basically unwrapped it & took it straight out the back for repairs

But she'll be right after a filler coat tomorrow morning

Nah I figured with all the dollars mac has spent, McT will have a tax problem this year & I didn't want to contribute to it so I cancelled my order.

And with the dollars saved I'll keep the redline for a while longer.

OK was a bit lazy

Here's the nose which is now just about repaired.

6'4 x 21 3/4 x 2 3/4 single to double concave

Ordered it from East Coast Surfboards off Ebay, $420 including delivery to my door.

Its just a mass production model, I prefer them to customs.

Oh also came with 5 fins for thruster or quad setup & a t-shirt lol

Plus a green tail pad that I'm not going to use... so if anyone wants it

I've been looking at ordering either a Rake - Magic Peanut or a Creative Army - taco

Both pretty similar. It's a tough decision

Classic old school Log , but not too much hip yet ample nose concave and relaxed rails easy going rails with no chine to them , want a sweetly rounded Pin tail ..... 906 or 908 dims 23" x 2 7/8 to 3" more than likely single fin but not yet completely cut & dried fin-wise (where's that bloody Lacey fella !)

..... you will never guess who is my shaper of choice though never in a million years I tell you

Just wondered if the design was influenced by the new pedestrian crossing on Oxford street - specially finished just in time for the Mardi gras!

WTF LOL...I must admit it there is a resemblance. The board was made back in January though, so it preceded the the work done on the road. That is funny though, the colour tones are pretty much the same. Might havta call it my Mardi Gra surfboard
