Mmmm, Whale meat!... If you take the barbaric killing of beautiful creatures and put it aside... And subtract their importance on the ecosystem, then we are just looking at meat... It is probably the very best of the best, in terms of meat, and steaks...

(please don't shoot me down - I know this will get Red Thumbs, and that's ok!... I support Sea Shepherd, and love to read about what Captain Paul Watson is up to... I would never harm a whale, etc. They are beautiful creatures... But in concept, if the same quality meat could come from a cow, then those cows would be sublimely expensive!... LoL!)...

^ ... I was reading that the meat is sublimely lean like almost 99.9% fat free, and tender beyond belief... and all the fat is in the blubber, on the exterior...

(this may not be a popular topic! ... I'm qualifying these comments, as "once you set aside the environ, beautiful creature issues! etc...)...

There comes a time when something can become hunted to extinction & there can also be a time where something is overprotected & becomes a problem. Lucklily whales aren't killing people like sharks. Whales have become this inedible thing like dogs, cats & horses. Frogs are borderline untouchable, cute little buggers aren't they. But there's a restaurant on Jalan Malasti that cooks them magnificently. Absolutely beautiful, I was surprised how good they taste & horse tastes great too, even sashimi style (uncooked) bloody good. The Japanese make very nice sauces that would make almost anything oishii (very tasty). I'd imagine dog or cat would be just as good as frog deep fried with a nice sauce. How different are they too all the other animals we eat other than their coolness as a pet...I think Simondo has done more than just hear whale is tasty & fark Sea Shepherd. Just another scam for a charity funded adventure in my opinion...& whale does tastes great, absa****inglutley!
