Good thread.
After seeing the magical shapes of Lfish and chatting with the boys at PP i have decided that I am going to make my next board. It will be my first effort so I shall be going with something that is fairly straight forward with not too much fancy stuff thrown in. It will be around the 9'5" in length (as I have a cover that size in the garage) * 23 * 3 ish - will ultimately depend on how good I am at the sanding!
I have always been a bit whimpy when it comes to making my own board but Sharpie said he will help me out with the glassing so I am feeling a bit happier now. I will begin the enquiries tom to see how much it will be to source a blank - otherwise I will do what LFish did and source and old refrigeration unit and use the poly from that. Should be a lot cheaper that way as well.
If you have any templates that you think might be of interest feel free to send them through

The board will be used for 0 - 3ft clean and glassy conditions. I am hoping for a decent bit of glide whilst still being able to turn it and get to the nose....sounds like I should just buy one of those Mct's that Mac always goes on about. But alas this is a building project. I shall post some picks as I go a long.
