why so heavy spaz....I have a 12 foot tandem board...I glassed it with double six ounce top and bottom with an extra strip down the centre top and bottom and another strip along both rails....it's a great thing to ride and if its inertia that your after, it has plenty....glides like silk...and turns well...I think the 1" cedar and an eight and six top and bottom would be more than enough....too much weight may work against you in a board that big...I think...anyway I'm sure the boys at Mct's will steer you the right way.

My mate has a 12 foot Robert August log it is heavily glassed, he is away at the moment but when he gets back I will find out what the glass job is dims etc and get a coupla pics, we have taken it to the pass a few times, it was great you can paddle into anything its great for long drawn out turns, ripple riding etc, I am 95 kgs 6,1 he is prob 60 kgs wringin wet 5,8
