A couple of hours on the inlet before the wind got too strong. Rigged for windsup but did not venture out. A couple of laps of Fishpen Road landpaddle.
Makorori Centres.......looked pathetically feeble and small at low tide......but built up in size with the incoming tide. Me.....and a couple of other celebrities. Chris Ransley and Benny Hutchings. (Everyone is desperate for a wave at moment)
There were other people....a guy and his daughter.....a smiley longboarder ......before the celebrities got there......and zero wind which is definitely unusual at early morning makorori
Today I tried using one of those Share Bikes for downwinder return transport. I may need to change my technique a bit. It was really heavy and made it very hard to paddle.
Another couple to warm you up, Creek... First day on the board at the-secret-place-that-I-cant't-tell-anyone-about... Warm sunny, glassy, early morning. Small but fun surf.
