Cracker thread - really great to read everyone's stories - classic!
Same for me as many - born and bred in Vicco - surfed (and skated).
Bailed high school and moved up to Byron and started plumbing apprenticeship with the old man. Would jump on the pushy, paddle up to the Wreck, get morning surfs in before work, come home and do it again. 17 years old and living in a flat in Johnson st - worked hard, partied hard and surfed hard - terrible stuff

Would go and see bands like Tumbleweed and Def FX play at the RSL. Didn't matter - whoever - as long as the music was loud and got ya primed for waves in the morn.
Margo was surfing like a machine at the time, Danny Wills was the local everyone was watching with high expectations of crackin' the tour (then ASP). And he did.
Travelled around Oz for probably too long and ended up out in Arnhem Land, grew a beard, met the missus and ended up moving back in to Darwin.
SUP's been a revelation. It's got me back into waves after too long out of the water. reconnected me with the ocean in a big way and also taught me a lot about myself - mostly how to manage fear of crocs when there's no-one else out. Needless to say the beard's still there, it's just grey

It's Wednesday arvo and I'm counting down til Saturday waves.
So, here's cheers big ears - up the SUPsters!
I'll see ya's in the soup !!!
Yeeeew!!!
