Great thread the only advice that was given to me (speed is your friend) nothing good ever happens when your in slow motion. Of course you have to have the wave to give you that or manufacture speed by fading ect.

To engage the rail quicker out of the help of a strong back foot push and all other tricks well explain in the last post of this very interesting topic, boards have to be design with a wide point pull back the middle of the board and therefore have to get a pull in nose which is a not as common design except for the pro's board of 7'+ or sub 8'.
Riviera Whirling Dervish SUP is a excellent exemple of that kind of very manoeuvrable design .
Have to say that Bert from Sunova is doing that kind of loose board too
