Gong boards are not sold outside of Europe, but I must say that I am quite impressed by the new Sunova Placid as shown on the video posted in "Sunova Casso" thread:
Comfortable width, especially in the nose, pulled in tail but still wide hips, thin rails, boxes for twin fin... If I lived in OZ, this would definitively the board I would buy!... seems similar in spirit to the Gong Fatal. Something inherently stable so you can undersize it (even ordering a custom model?) to turbocharge it in conditions where paddling speed is not an issue.
This said, I did not ride the JPs, but there are people here with them, and they are quite satisfied with them, and rip on them.
