Can anyone tell me their opinions of the ECS sup boards, EVO and Wideboy?....and how they would compare in quality
to the Naish boards..They do look good with the bamboo deck and are a lot cheaper than Naish...?

Superb Australian brand and as good if not better quality than most out there.

note I do not own one but have been on a few, the Slab is certainly worth a look as well

Hi I've bought a ECS noserider sup recently and have been extremly pleased with it . The construction is solid , its light ,looks great . The ECS people were great to deal with as well . It arrived in 2 days also with a cover . Great board .

They have been doing great boards for a while now. Plus the way they package it up with a bag, full carbon adj paddle, leash and fins is fantastic. Each brand does things differently and that is there choice.
Plus through the business i work for we sell them and my staff members ride them along we myself but, we also sell and ride at Sup Gear Australia, Boards and Paddles from Bic, Drift, Surftech and RED paddle co Inflatables.

Yes true ECS another great Australian Brand.I got a custom Slab shaped by Ryan absolutely love it,short board surfer all my life before before my back forced me onto sup,Ryan shaped exactly what I was after to suit my surfing.Construction strong as anything on the market,great service,ordered through Dylan very reliable,just about to order another custom. Not affiliated anyway with ECS just a very happy customer and would recommend them any day of the week.Myself customs are the way to go

Currently on a 9'5 x 32 Wideboy with some pretty sexy quad fins - in love with the bloody thing!

Super stable paddling on small or flat days and I keep taking it out in better waves to see how it goes and it just keeps impressing. Gets in early with wide Point up a bit, takes the drop, really drives out of turns and then is loose enough to throw around.

Paddled it in calm as well as windy, not as tippy when it gets choppy or bumpy as others I have ridden.

Pretty light in weight and has a durable finish, sweet value for money as a package - ECS know their stuff if the Wideboy is anything to go off. Almost a one board quiver, well for me anyway (6ft, 87kg Mod Experience)

I have been riding a 7'5 x 28 109 Slab for 18 months - 2 years - Use futures MB large thrusters. Great board, stable in relatively lumpy water/white capping water, surfs really well forehand or backhand, quick off the mark likes a late takeoff, and its nice and easy to get back foot on the kicker for slashing off the top
but
A few observations - Futures fin box screws all rusted within a few months and stained the boxes - never had a FCS screw rust on me
The deck is moulding to my feet - noticable indentations - and I have seen this with customs as well - not sure if it's the grip that's flattening or the deck that's sinking (I'm 87Kg) so far no change in weight and the decks not soft.
Other than that it's solid and pretty much unmarked.

2 years use and all you got to grime about is rusty fin screws and slight deck sink i recon thats a pretty good innings!
fin screws can be replaced, and IMO deck indents are good, keeps ur feet where u like em.
nice lookin board. would love to try one of dese.

I have a 10ft ECS Nose rider -excellent board and no construction issues. I have had 3 Naish boards all with construction issues however good surfing boards for each given design and purpose.

Just bought an Evo 10'6 (not the wideboy). Love it! light, easy to paddle flat and surf. I bought a package 1599 with bag, leash, fins, and carbon paddle. Was tempted to go the 10' but I sometimes put my 2yr old daughter on for a cruisy paddle, so the extra 18L volume helps. The finish is awesome, was impressed at the price. The only reason I stumbled across it, was my local shop sold them.. I was looking at a Cabrinah 9'8.
