This has been my latest ride the JP Pro 6-8 x 26 - 96 litres . I'm down to 84kegs and really surprised at how stable the board is and floats me really well. Love the NP foil comes in apx same weight as Naish and wing size is pretty similar to the GF IWA but wider and a bit flatter and slightly higher aspect. Very easy to control foil ,smooth lift and very steady in the turn and great pump. Speed wise probably just a touch faster than the GF IWA . Price wise they will be released in Sept at $1,295 retail , boards will also come out then not sure on final cost on those.

Good to see NP/JP finally getting their act together.

Looking slim VP, Nice work.

Just to clarify, "same weight as Naish" - I am assuming the 2018 Models, not the 2019 which are significantly lighter?

Good price,

Thanks JB and yes comparing weight to Naish 2018 Ali mast Thrust model not the new gear.

Have to give this gear back on Thursday but pick up the new Slingshot gear today , plus the Signature foil demos also arrive.........and so does the first MFC (Maui Fin Company) foil as well . These things look sick.

You'll have to get yourself onto one of the new Naish wings mate, I think the XL has your name all over it

Will be interested to here your thoughts on the MFC, WSS had one in store for a while but not for demo. Definitely light but very $$$. Get some pics of the front wing union, I know the first ones had an issue with being loose, wondering what they have done to alleviate this.

So many foils getting their act together this year, the ocean is in for a treat. Looking forward to seeing some solid ocean swell surfing this season.

Yeah super keen to try the new Naish gear looks great , especially the quick mount plate that's gold . Tons of hype and big price tag for the MFC foils . One of the guys here on the Goldie has just come back from Fiji foiling with Kai on one and was just ripping on it. The demo is the first of production run and they won't be available to punters until it's throughly tested , which backs up what you are saying. I'll keep you posted and get some pics .

I wanted to bump this thread up as i am wondering if anyone has any further feedback on this foil and how it performs.

I was just in a shop ( kite/ windsurf addiction- Perth) checking this foil out alongside the naish thrust surf.
The large NP wing is a very similar size as the xl naish. The NP felt lighter than the naish (2019).

The NP is an attractive option for the price.

Any feedback on performance?

Yes stock is here in stores in Qld next 2 weeks. Spewing I had to give my board and foil back ( it was the only demo) definetly rate this set up as one of the best and fastest . With the new gear comes a 3rd medium wing , so small medium & Large . Small is Kai size large is around IWA size so obviously medium in between those . With small and large rear wings . Really let's you fine tune your combos to suit conditions . Great price point and build quality . I mostly proned it on the small wings & Supped with large front and small rear , haven't seen the medium wing .

Thanks for the replies guys! I am eyeing this off as a good multi sport option. I could get the large wing which comes with the 2 rear wings and just the small front wing and I would be set for all my kite and sup foiling needs.

Gotta wait till all the parts etc. Are available though

Great to hear it's not too heavy mate, thanks for the info. I've preordered the large size kit & plan on getting either the small or medium front wing + a longer mast down the track.
It's going to be a great summer

@Toppleover , do you know what the size of the longest mast? Based on the website comes standard with a 60cm.

I,m waiting for an JP Surfslate8.2 with a GlideSurf foil Large that should have been arrived in august and want to use it for supfoiling and Windfoiling.I tried a Gofol Kai with a Starboard windsfoiling bit the mast was just a tad too short to be comfortable in our choppy conditions.
Something like an extra 75-85mast would make the set a lot more versatible and usefull for the days a 6m on a big waveboard won,t get me planing.

Pretty sure the it's 650 I'll check later for you there is one at SurfFX , re the longer mast the windfoil mast fits the glide fuselage so you could get one of those and cut down.

Thanx a lot Piros!
,The website says 60, but glad they upgraded to 70. That makes it imo a lot more versatile. Even more if it is interchangable with the other masts.

I went in and measured it , so unless the new production foils are different to this pre production it should be 700.

Hope it is 70cm, NP site has it as 60 - not long now & everyone that preordered will have their foils

Yes I was wrong they actually had a windfoil mast in the Surf foil fuselage. So 650 is it but shows the windfoil mast fit.

Looks like the NP Glide surf is shipped with a 60 but you can get it with a 70 if you order the wind kit.

The JP Slate arrived and didnt have the footstrap option that I really want to windfoil it as well so did not take it and bought a Naish Hoover crossover with a Naish Trust L surf-foil. (55 mast and have a 70 on backorder). The NP Surf foils aren't available yet but they look very tempting and for sure gonna see if I can demo one.

Very nice, very nice!!

But! Did he say he just did an unboxing of someone else's foil, is that not kinda like unwrapping someone else's Christmas present?

The foil looks really good and nice to see Keahi putting it through its paces

Haha yeah he did but he set it up on a new board for him as well. Just picked up mine I got the triple wings small similar to Kai size , medium & Large which is bit bigger that the IWA.

Seems nice, but I would be wary of the fittings: All the torque on the wings are directly leveraging against the bolts threads, which are the only thing keeping the wings in place. This is not very durable, compared to systems where the bolts are not directly resisting the huge forces of the foil: remove the screws from a Go Foil for instance, and the wings stay tight by themselves, the strength is given by the way the fuz locks into the wing part, the bolts just keep them in place. Seems like a 1st generation design, I guess they will have to change it in the next version.

Oh no! Just as I was looking at the 2019 Slingshot Infinity, along comes this foil! And at a great price too.
Should be a great foil like Piros has said.
So now what do I do?
Hopefully someone will compare both for me to make the decision.
At this stage cheaper for me to get the Slingshot wing as it will fit my original H4 fuselarge.
But if this one excels might be worth saving the extra $400 for a whole new foil.
Hopefully the NP foil fittings will hold up. In my view it looks strong enough as it is bolted into the wing recess having the wing under the fuselarge to take up the forces.
Hey Piros! I need a comparison! Lol.

Grab the Neil Pryde. I've flown the medium and large.
I bought the large, as I already have the cloud 9 wings, so didn't need the smaller sizes.

the Neil Pryde has superb wings. Light, totally silent, high lifting, and fast. Well done NP.

Colas how about you do some homework this NP Surf Foil is a modified version of the NP wind foil which has been out for over a year with exactly same connection points with no issues . I've also had the proto surf foil for months using it 4 to 5 sessions a week again not a single issue. The system is strong and solid with no movement, if you actually held one and looked at the connection points closely you would see and feel that.

So before you go passing dud judgements on other foils and post on a public forum , ride it or at least hold it . This NP foil is a quality bit of kit that comes standard with Titanium bolts and it's far from a first generation design.

Hey Piros! I need a comparison! Lol.

Seajuice after a year of testing everything this is the one . By far the fastest and smoothest in turns . The wings are super light and strong with a slightly higher aspect design , this is what is giving it its speed and glide. The extra width in the mast actually lets you lay on it in the turn and helps with stability paddling around. It's just a comfortable easy foil to ride. As I said in my previous post ignore Colas comments the connection points are super strong and the windfoil guys have put it through it paces for well over a year on metre long mast
