I (75kg) have switched to a
6.6x18 (88L) dragonfly for winging as a secondary board to my sinker (45L).
I have (at least currently) no interest in using it as a DW board with a paddle but might try to paddle it up in flat water at some point.
Having tried a 7 foot x 19 100L board (different brand), I was slightly concerned that I might have gone too small, but it tracks and starts just as well as the 100L with barely any wind.
Once flying it feels very similar to my previous 5-foot board - I do, however, enjoy the reduced width (18 vs 23.5).
The extra thickness doesn't negatively impact pumping compared to the former 65L. In fact, I am quite amazed by how well it pumps...
After 2y on 65L and below, it took almost an entire session to get used again to a "board I can not sink", and there the thickness is very noticeable when trying to get back onto it.
In terms of stability, it feels perfectly fine for winging. It didn't roll me off like the 100L DW board did but that might be because I was expecting "roll" issues. The reduced length of 6.6 pretty much determines where you can stand - once dialed in, standing while waiting for wind is no problem. The longer board was a little bit more forgiving.
Not sure about the 3rd (front) pad on the small board. For my weight and foil setup I need to keep my front foot on pad 2.
As for the weight - It came at 4542gr. It does feel crazy light and makes you wonder how solid it is...
After 3 rolls of rail tape, it is now 4.8kg.
Most of the tape went to where I expect to possibly hit it with the paddle at some point ... Having a bag seems like a good idea.
