Just need some advice regarding what would be the best / most stable and easiest for a beginner like me, at present I have the front red Kai foil wing with the red matching Kai rear wing, is this suitable? or do I need a bigger rear wing etc?:-)

I tried the Iwa but too much lift and I kept getting hit, I am a light weight (65kg) and I have tried sup but I might also try prone:-)

I'm surprised you find the Iwa has too much lift. I'm 70kgs and use the Iwa in strong wings up to 30+ knots and the M200 (with Kai tail) when it's a bit lighter. Put the foil back in the box and see how it goes. I also use the Iwa for SUP foiling in small surf. I had a Kai wing but never used it.

The GL series are very neutral and easy to ride, the GL180 with 14.5 tail and 9.5 Pedestal is awesome on a sup (I'm also 65kg). You could almost skip the low aspect wings with this setup. Its just all the extra speed that would be hard to deal with. I think the Kai front and rear would be the best place to start and get the basics down then move to the GL's when you're ready.

If you have a track mount foil board you can move the foil a little forward for more lift.
The IWA front wing is Good in small waves. But it has a heap of initial lift so you have to be quick to pop-up. Prone foiling.
The GL 140 has a gentle lift with heaps of speed. But the best thing is very low drag which helps alot when prone paddling long distances.

Late to the party, but 2 more cents to add. Your post isn't clear, but sounds like you are attempting sup foiling? (not prone foil or wing foil). I have a kai/iwa/maliko200 combo.

If you are finding the Iwa too much lift, then you are likely in waves that are too big or too pitchy for ideal learning. Sup foiling for medium size guy, the Iwa would be ideal for waves waist to chest high -- crumbly sup style waves, not punchy enough to be even remotely shortboard surfable. The Kai wing is for larger faster more powerful waves, super fun once going, but otherwise not enough lift to work. For waves smaller than waist high, you'd more likely need the Maliko 200.

I find it sizes down one with prone/surf foil, I don't use the M200 at all, Iwa for small waves too, then Kai once it gets bigger.

I don't know the higher aspect series well ... i think you need more speed to get up on foil, but once going you have more glide. I expect this is more challenging for learning than the entry level low aspect original gofoil wings.

If you have the chance to get behind a boat or jetski, I reckon 1 hour training is equivalent to 5-10 hours in the surf ... as you have controlled speed to figure out how it works.
