Maybe Mr kalama just doesn't care about the big guy segment > 90kgs which is weird as from the first picture he looks like a big unit now.
I guess it's not too late for him to address this segment of the market, and make sizes that people want and aren't crazy long. I'm on the GC and TBH I haven't seen one v1 cuda, maybe they are too expensive or the sizes/foil boxes weren't right.
In my experience, long skinny boards with pin tails need more volume, not less, that's why everyone (all the youtubers) are saying go 30-40L above your body weight, and boards are all thick now to accommodate this, or you go crazy long which makes them less maneuverable in other foil disciplines than down winding and therefore less appealing.
Do they come with board bags now? One would hope so for the price point.
Are they the same youtubers that said long and skiny won't work?
All these youtubers and even some of the pros seem to be contradicting each other with opinions on width, length, volume, hull shape, Planning vs Displacement, paddle length, mast length. What a confusing space with each metric there is a long list of compromises and advantages.
The one thing I have learnt is that it takes a lot of practice to be able to stand up and be balanced in the bumps enough to paddle with power and excess volume is not a short cut is my conclusion.
