Yep fragile because it's so thin and that's where some of the performance comes from ...the trade off I guess.
Some guys are just chopping the tips off so there is no flex and swear by it, for me atm is so loose I don't need any extra performance so I will be leaving mine alone for now.

I'll try and be careful, I've become pretty decent at rebuilding the carbon. It's funny, I see all the chop talk on the HS1250 and am thinking you guys need to chop! I just grind the tips off on the limestone lakebed!

Yeh just spoke going paddy tonight up in Gero and he ripped his tip off. His suggestion is cut them along the chop lines given before they go as when they do they take a lot more off. Anyone read or heard what happens to performance when those tips are cut off ??
