Santa delivered a HA 725 .......Haven't been frothing like this since the 1050. My new favorite wing !So fast , turns anytime, anywhere and at any speed. Takes the late takeoffs and steeper drops without boosting but surprisingly works awesome in smaller stuff too. I got it mainly as a bigger wave foil and it will fit that bill nicely ,but I'm so surprised how " surfy " and zippy it is in the smaller waves. It's like a performance shortboard you can generate so much speed and energy by doing lots of small rail to rail turns and little pumps. I didn't think being 725 that it would be pumpable for my 85kgs but again it surprised me and I managed to link a couple of waves.I don't think I'll be doing and distance pumping on it but exit with speed ,stay high and it keeps going..Bonus ! Anyhow I doubt it will be everyone's cup of tea but for me I couldn't be happier with it.
for reference 725/72/50/212 0 shim on 4.5 board. ??

Hey mate, Merry Christmas to you as well.....as a matter of fact I do have a 925 ! and it's great up to shoulder high then starts to get harder on takeoffs and turns at speed.Horses for courses.....1125 for small days and endless pumping/ gliding(longboard) but acquired taste. 925 plug and play not hard to learn or ride and great allround one kit foil. 725 high performance short board and still pump and link 1 or 2.If you could only chose 1 it would be 925, but I am a good boy so I have all 3 !

I need to stop being a bad boy. One more question if you only had one wing to pick from in 2.5 to 4 foot waves would it be the 725 or the 1050 for prone?

It would be the 725, faster,more efficient pump and turns just as good, just feels different with more drive in the turns.Only downside would be higher stall speed.

Hands down it would be the 725 for me.

Dude respect. Seen my son rip and pump on the 725 (his fav wing now), wing and tow foil, but he's only 58kg. I still can't pump the 925 so well lol.

I thought I'd bitten off more than I could chew to begin with, but I used the 212 tail instead of the V as suggested by Sky Rama.I started on 4 mast position and ended up at 2 and it all came together. It's like surfing a performance shortboard where you work it rail to rail to gain speed combined with little pumps, it's so lively and fast and you can whip it around in the pocket and turn wherever at will , I'm definitely hooked but I could see how it might not suit everyone, but I am surprised it carries my weight a lot better than I thought it might given how small it is.

Hey Kobo have you tried the 1125 and how does the feel / ride compare in general (I am asking for future reference etc?:-)

Yes I'm one of the few who really like the 1125, for me it's like a longboard, I can pump it further than any other foil I've ridden and it carves longer arc turns with heaps of acceleration and energy. It's probably the most efficient foil on the market atm, that's been said by many top foilers not me, but I understand what they mean.You can pump it out to sea and then just turn onto anything that resembles a swell and glide away no pumping needed.It takes a little getting used to mainly in the turning, as being so wide it does resist but it's just a matter of getting the setup right for you and initiating the turn with a little yaw input at the start.I like it back in the mast track and with the 50 fuse and V tail with 0 shim for better pump. It's my favorite small wave and pumping foil and one day when I get better,I'd say it will be my favorite DW foil too.
It's probably the hardest of the HA foils to get used to, but I haven't tried the 1350, Id say the 925 is the easiest HA to ride.

Ok thanks kobo yes I remember you said you liked it that is why I bought one ages ago but I still have not tried / surfed the 1125 as yet (tried the 1850 with no worries) and am now on the 1550v2 and waiting to attain a bit more experience on it before moving on to the 1125 (what do you think?:-)

Yes that is a good progression from 1850 to 1550V2 then to HA. The 1850 is great to learn pumping on and coupled with 50 fuse and V tail or 212 it turns really well. The 1550v2 is flatter and more HA than the 1850 so is heading more in the HA direction so it's in between . I would consider the 925 as the next step after that as it's easier to ride than the 1125.But if you want the best pumping machine then the 1125 is it.
Ride the 1125 with the 232 or 212 tail to start with as it's more stable to pump.

Thanks Kobo well I have the 60 fuse and 232 tail and I am on a 95L Naish S26 Wing sup and am wanting / need more juice / pump from my 1550v2 but I am only just able to catch tiny (under 1ft swell) also I have a Foil Drive paddle assist that does all the wave catching work for me (also I am less than 65kg fully suited up;-) when do you think I should try the 1125? or maybe wait till the wave swell is a bit bigger (maybe between 1 - 2 ft?:-)

I'm on prone mainly, but I can easily catch and ride 1/2 ft swell on the 1125, but it's different with a SUP as you have more weight in front of the foil.The 1550 would get up on foil before the 1125 as it's bigger with lower aspect , the 1125 needs a little more forward speed as I have found on the SUP with wingding.I always ride with the mast full forward in the tracks on the SUP to get more lift. my SUP is a fanatic and it has the boxes set towards the rear, I'm not sure about the Naish but the Armstrong SUP have the boxes way forward to suit the foils.Also try a 300 tail if you have one that will give you heaps more lift.

Thanks yes I have the 300 also and I am about to start prone foiling I just need decent conditions & time:-)
