i am going, leaving tweed heads next week then a few days on hard then i am going north. hopefully, the only sinking will be beers

We are leaving Vic next week......50 knots to windward up the Newell
Hoping to be launching shute harbour end of the month for a some weeks
after that launching hervey bay for a while , Yamba for cruise up the Clarence , port stephens for trip up the myalls lakes , and then Cowan creek before heading home.
Looking forward to some warmer weather

Was supposed to be this year for me... next month actually, but still behind in s few things that I wanted to do first, so it might be next year for me also. Maybe I might just go a little way north this year.

Sounds like a quite a few next year. We are also going next year as well. My be we should all meet up at the Shaggers rondayveu at Gloster Passage.

I'm up there as well next year , sailing to Brisbane to meet a friend with his cav 32 then we will sail in north in tandom till I have to come home . looks like we all have itchy feet

where you going from and when? my plan is to make a quick passage to moreton, pick up a friend then cruise up to whits. ive only got a bout 6-8 weeks all up before everyone says"why you rushing!!!!"

Did it again last year and now freezing my butt of after three summers in a row!!

This has been a bit of a long term plan (dream!) that is starting to come together, as I am going to do Hammo Race Week in 2017. Need to be there by middle August. A couple of racing dinghy friends have lined up to crew for me in the cruising division. If time allows, will try to head up to do the Magnetic Island race as well.

Will probably leave mid July from Pittwater, depending on availability of people to crew for the delivery. If I can organise a crew of 4 (including me), will probably do 3 day / 2 night hops up the coast(s), otherwise will do it in day trips/overnighters.

Have to allow time that work may get in the way and require a flight back at short notice. Also weather windows will be important.

Trip back will probably only be 2 of us, unless I find keen people to come along for a ride.

I like that idea. I joined the Shaggers not long ago... was hoping to get there this year. Have to decide in the next month whether to go or not.

We are already on our way!
Shag Islet end of August then probably further north.
For those of you who are heading up next year, we will most probably still be there

Why would you want to go outside Fraser? Fuel at Urangan, stores at Bundy, The bar is OK 90% of the time..

Leaving from Botany Bay , hope fully around this time next year . My timing will depend on crew availability I can fit in with others . As I will be single handed most of the time it would be nice to have some help from port Stephens heading up .

Well I was making a large presumption that people might have larger yachts, been on bit of a schedule, were going to run watches through the night and therefore decide to avoid the shallows / bar up the inside.

But hey if people want to come by Hervey bay I'll try and come say hello.
