Being well kept and up to date, I don't think you will have much trouble selling.
Iv looked around after putting mine on the market and really there are only few good yachts around that are
Ready to go.

As a nipper did you have something traumatic happen with a 'washing machine' ? (if not would you like something 'to happen' ?)

Nice looking boat built in 1982 ! I'm looking for around a 2000 model give or take with white leather upholstery,swim platform and little work other than a cut and polish! Oh and maybe a washing machine! Haha

Probably spend a lot of time in a marina anyway. Why not use their washing machine, update your reading material and get all the gossip!
Those Hunters used to get a regular write up in the Atlantic tours, can't remember if they were favourable or not. Search on the PBO forums or www.cruisersforum.com/. I think they had a weird main sheet traveller or something.

I did once help a girlfriend look at a 42ft hunter and I was blown away by the room inside.
An island bed and small bath in the main cabin was something else, and the lounge area was huge.
It was 20 years old and needed a lot of work to being it up to date with maintenance.
But being a modern boat it didn't suit Sally and she settled on a 38 ft Hans Christian with an amazing teak fit out,
And some very good gear for $128,000.

Your girlfriend had excellent taste in yachts at least!

I look at the interior photos of the large modern yachts with no handholds and the amazing distance one could be thrown across the cabin in a seaway! Nice in harbour.

I'm working on things, I'm not putting it on the market till after the wet season March/April .....

I think the machine is an option in the Hunters going by my research so far.... It's a washer and dryer all in one!
Another interesting point is that most Hunter rigs are backstayless and it seem most drive is in the main rather than the headsail something to get used to for me!....I geuss backstayless would be an advantage for access to the diving platform transom!

Sorry Cisco I read it wrong! Understand now! I'm going to move onto land for a bit till I find the right boat for the right price I'm not waiting for the market to change just waiting for right boat to come up due to our collapsing economy ! Haha

I think I have my mind set on a C/C same as my current boat, I find it more convenient for single handling docking, aft cabin, smaller dry cockpit.... And I think I'm a tad short of the price as my budget is $200k firm. But of coarse if you feel a bit overloaded with boats sitting around growing weed I'm happy to negotiate the purchase with you @ $200k cash

Yes centre cockpits are a funny thing you either love or hate them, I am a rear cockpit man, probably from racing . We have several keen buyers for my boat, but it is the old story "They have to sell their current boat first".It does not matter whether you are selling a $10,000.00 or a $1,000,000.00 it's still the same story. There are people in all price ranges wanting to upgrade. It certainly pays to be cashed up when buying a boat as there are a lot of people out there wanting to trade their boats or make some other shady deal. A cashed up buyer is in a lot better position to negotiate a good deal.

PS . I also don't drink any hot drinks or smoke, unfortunately We all have to have some vice and I have been known to have the odd rum and beer or two. I have already got more offers than beds to help bring the new boat back from Sydney so you might be out of luck for that trip.

Having been both at one time or another, I believe it is better being a Captain than an Admiral.
