For those planning a Tas trip, Hobart, Schouten Passage, under Cape Barren light, Port Davies (Emita) , Lakes Entrance, Eden
has worked well as all reasonable length legs with reasonable shelter close by. And by going up the western side of Flinders it avoids a the 280 mile fully exposed leg going straight accross from Gabo to St Hellens
Not my neck of the woods, however I have visited quite often over the years. Huskisson has a wharf that I have used overnight a couple of times (though not for a few years), in a nor easter long beach provided reasonable shelter and I am told that target beach is good in a northerly, with hole in the wall for a southerly.
