How many tucks for 3 strand nylon eye splice?

So, when doing an eye splice, how many tucks do YOU do and why?

Edit: I should add it's for the mooring bridle for a catamaran...

Three for the rope, and two for me. I figure 5 is plenty.

Same here although I have sometimes done a further two where each tuck is tapered by about one third.

5 looks more professional but properly a waste of rope. I have completed about 20 nylon splices for moorings using 24mm rope in past months with 5 tucks or more as minimum requirements.

Yeah, last time I did them I made the splice about a foot long! WAAAY too much

I was taught 3 is enough, 4 if you want to taper

The Seamanship manual says 4 for man made fibres.
