Thank you samsturdy foryour info. The free parking helps a lot if you're out overnight for more than 24 hours. Costs $ and limited time elsewhere. And dinghy vacancies yep will check with council.

I've got a fibreglass dinghy in the mooring racks and take a 3.3 hp. Mercury with me. No rowing.
I'm halfway up the Creek ( without a paddle ) so 3 or 4 minutes gets me to my boat. Easy peasy.

My sister has had two tenders stolen from the dinghy racks there. Both chains cut professionally.
Make sure your dinghy is the ugliest one there.

I have my dinghy at Bothams Beach reserve. Not sure if this is the same place as Sam (there is another reserve near the end of McCarrs past Browns bay) but there seems to be some spare bays there now.
The council came through and cleaned up a bunch of squatters I think. Parking there is free but is always a pain on weekends as it's fairly limited. The usual process is drop you gear and crew then go for a drive looking for a park.
I have never not been able to find a park but sometimes it can be a bit of a walk back to the track head.

Yup, for a good while, we like Pittwater, there's lots more see and no where near as busy as the Harbour.
