Hi guys. Its been a while since I sailed away from Oz, but I've been keeping an eye on the conversations here, always some good stuff to read for sure. Its been an epic adventure the past few months, everything and more than I had imagined when I first got into sailing and became a member here on Seabreeze.
Here's my latest video. I'll be exploring the Raja Ampat region for most of 2019.

Frewin Island is really paradise found. A tiny village in the centre and a perfect golden sand beach bordering onto a vibrant coral reef, coupled with loads of friendly and curious kids and you have found the right spot. After being solo for the past months it was very nice to welcome Ylva back and also have Lias visit. We all just needed a holiday and enjoyed the long lazy days immensely. Lisa painted a pair of beautiful women in the galley which I really love! LIFE IS GOOD!

Hey Dex, Your vids are getting better and better all the time.
Your content is making us all mad with jealousy and green with envy particularly when you go from a tropical island to a snow peak in the Swiss Alps.
Your skill with video editing is amazing. I have subscribed to your You Tube channel and look forward to more of your vids.
Keep up the good work Sunshine.

Watched this episode this morning Vernon. Amazing place, love the cinema and photos. I think you will always look back on those photos and be transported to a time like no other. The ladies look beautiful. Really something to be proud of.

You are stepping out and doing it. Only one life to live to the max. Inspirational.

By the way I think these countries owe you some dues for the advertising. Better send the bill.

Hi Dex
Well done.
A great find. Great photography.
When I sailed Nusa Trenganu and other parts of Indonesia in the mid 70's I needed a Surat Jalan with every port of call registered before I even got to Indonesia. We had engine problems and pulled into little villages near Krakatoa and in the Banka islands.
Within 5 minutes we had the local headman and police down on us.
Is it more relaxed there for cruisers who venture off the beaten path now?

That would have to be one some of the best shots and editing as far as youtube sailing channels go. Very well done. Nice crew too, .

Really inspirational work. I have always tried to use my eyes to create photographic images in memory rather than take happy snaps. Good cinematography and photography can obviously record and "share" what the eye can see whilst creating a powerful medium that can express the emotions that the cameraman experiences.
Most sailing blogs simply don't convey any emotion, this one does.

Thanks mate

I turned off my iridium Go subscription ages ago, no need for weather updates. I got a SIM card when I arrived in Sorong, internet super cheap, 15gb of 4g for around $7. I doesn't work everywhere of course but thats great as I love being offline. Plenty of places it does work though so whenever I need it I sail a few hours and spend and day at anchor doing the work I need to do. Where I was anchored at Frewin there was full reception.
Weather seems super mellow here, often no wind at all but have to watch out for the squalls rolling through.

Hi Gary

Thanks.

Yeah seems pretty relaxed here now, harbour master still wants his grease money but he actually has no power really as by law I don't have to even go see him now. Still good to make the effort though. The new laws and country wide but I have heard in some other regions the old rules still persist.
