Santa Clause arrived yesterday in the guise of a DHL delivery man with a few boxes full of kites. We now have a good selection of 2008 Instinct Sport II, Light II, and Edge II to demo. We are still waiting for the 7m Edge II, and 13m Sport II, but aside from that our demo order is complete. We will be demoing this first shipment at Kitestock and other beachs after Kitestock, or you can come to Pinnaroo on a windy day and have a ride and see for yourself.

We are waiting for additional stock for sale. We have some 9.0m Edges II's and 7.0m Light II's coming in on Monday. Additional sizes will be due with the remainder of our order of the full range of all kites by early March.

I wish the bloody wind would go Southerly so I can go fly these baby's. It's torture to have 10 new kites in their bags awaiting wind

Flew the 2008 13m Edge 2 today, wow! Super smooth, super stable, jumps were elevator quick up with ridiculous hang. It was 17-22kts, it turns a bit faster than last years (and it was good too). The new bar setup feels and looks much more organised than the 07s with the beal line being ultra smooth through the bar. The bar feeling is ridiculously good for an SLE, very responsive, with no pullies and a little bit more bar pressure than 07, just right! One pump is a great improvement and there did not seem to be any downside. Upwind was excellent. There is a bit more depower on the bar this year but still that nice ozone static pull. Almost no stall this year which will be a big improvement in the waves. Bag is improved with nice features, like seperate internal bag for kite, a bar sleeve and oh a kite size on the outside of the bag! Only negatives, I put my kite away afterwards and put it in its nice internal bag and then in main bag, just the way you are meant too then pulled the main draw string to tighten over the top and it immediately ripped a square patch straight through and 2 inches down either side this will need more reinforcing. The last negative on my third jump of the day(it was fairly onshore) I thought I was a really good distance from the beach I went up a long way, sent the kite forwards and back more than once and got that 2nd boost from another gust coming through and nearly landed on the beach! This is a glider not a kite!!!

It's easy, either come up to Pinnaroo Point on a windy day or come to kitestock. I'll be at Kitestock for Thurs, Frid, Sat and Sun, then back to Pinnaroo for Monday onwards.

I'll have them in Esperance the following Sat and Sun (23 and 24) then back to Perth again. Let me know which beach you fly at and I'll bring 'em to you. We now have an almost finished demo van complete with 18 kites (Ozone and Airush) and 10 boards (Airush).

All available for demoing. A few guys grabbed the 11 and 13 Edge today at Pinnaroo and were all quite impressed despite light winds. I seriously love these kites!

Grabbed a 11 Edge on the 18th off Darren at Pinnaroo. We had a wind gauge that was showing 28- 34 knts. Wanted to see what this puppy could handle. Wasn't the most comfortable session I've had but went out there with one thing in mind- big air . I had already been out for around 2 or so hours so was a bit cautious about sending it in that strength wind. Was feeling slightly knackered.

Sent it off a few kickers and was getting some nice height .Smooth takeoff. Jumps are very floaty. I mean paraglider like floaty. Make sure you have lots of downwind area before you send it. Your going to need it.

The thing that impressed me was the fact I could fly it and send it like I'd ridden it for 2-3 sessions only after 10 mins. A very easy kite to get used to.

Thought it would be hard grabbing depower in that wind but It's actually very easy thanks to the reduction setup.

Overall I couldn't fault the kite in any area. Didn't stall or do anything wierd.

Seriously thinking about some new gear now.

Is there a wind range chart anywhere? Couldn't find one. Just curious what the range would approximately be with the 11m EdgeII? 70kg, 129 Nobile 666.

I weigh approx 73kg and find that the wind range for me on an Underground 1.32FLX is around 12/14 knots to more than 25/28 knots.
I had not used the trimmer on the day I tested the kite in approx 20-25 knots and never felt over powered.
