I've been punishing my naish kite surf board for the last few years, it's survived a few o/s trips to hawaii, have run aground, bounced of reefs and landed some seriously epic boosts flat as a pan cake and I'm 85kg and it's still in the land of the living

These boards sit great in the water when on rail, no nose bounce. Construction feels indestructable , glad i bought one.

from what I have seen most kite surf boards now are much heavier than normal surf boards so you can ride them with straps and do the odd jump. But if your landing flat and bruising your heels even a twintip can break.

4.5kg with straps on the litewave , but weight is good when doing aerials and strong winds ,you can feel the board. Standard surfboard would be less than 2.5kg under 6'2.

I have straps on a 6ft2 reinforced fiberglassed 7 layer surf board and do fairly large powered kite loops, has not broken yet but have spoken to a local shaper who is making me 2 x carbon fiber reinforced boards for around $600 each.

This is heaps better than paying $1000 a board thats a US import with inflated prices.

massive boot kite loops on a surfboard in waves are a lot of fun.
