I spent an hour or two on a 9m Envy last week. I really liked it.

Stable. Predictable. Built strong. My kites get loads of use, and they cop a lot of abuse in the surf. The Envy looks like the perfect work horse to me.

If you are after an all rounder, i recon the 2013 Envy will definitely get the job done.

What was the boosting like.... ?

i give it a 7.5 / 10 for boosting.

the envy is not a huge jumping kite but it can get you up there with the right technique and has decent float, it has plenty of lift but its not a rip you off the water feeling like some of the other kites.

it is definitely one of the smoothest kites out there and really stable for unhooking and tricks.

To be honest, I only boosted a couple of jumps but it felt fine, i was not disappointed at all. Having said that, I am no "boosting connoisseur."

I did do plenty of low unhooked jumps though, and the kite behaved exactly like you would want it to. Stable & predictable without much input required from me.

Yesterday Thanx to James at alliance I got to ride the new envy. The kite is extremly stable and flys well. The jump technique for this kite requires alittle more aggression than most SLE kites, If you try and jump it like an SLE it will give you a nice soft floaty jump. If you try flicking it like a C kite you can get it to rip you off the water. I was quite surprise at how hard it ripped you off the water when you got the technique right and you can defiantly get up high with it.

KSS Altona in Vic also has demo's available in the Envy, NRG and HIFIX
Plus boards DLX, Element and Drive

The HIFIX has been a hit so fare and of course the Envy's. The NRG has bucket loads of power and hang time.

Reviews on the gear will be up soon.

Have been riding the 2012 10m NRG... it boosts
Tried the 2013 NRG 10m the other day in 22knts (i'm 70kg) was waay powered. defn goes big. too grunty for wake.
i'm trying to get back into unhooking wake style tricks and yesterday had a go at an 8m 2013 ... loved it. So i'm buying a 9m envy for surf and wake.. i'm sure it'll still boost. might keep the NRG for those crazy days you just want to go big.
If you are on the goldcoast, see Moti at the Tweed kite store .... has demos.

why would you even compare the park to the envy?

park hands down i found the turning speed on the park faster and in heavier wind i was more comfy being a beginner i felt like it could take more wind speed!!! where as being a novice the envy was nice just not for me i think.
