Hmmmmm, been a trait of the kite scene for years. Some of the product releases have been absolute garbage. Slingshot, Best names come to mind.
How could you miss this? Moving parts with wear points=prime concern. You have to inspect bars with a microscope during development, look for wear points and use quality materials EG: polish stainless steel to mitigate potential problems.
Here's another example of lax scrutiny. I'm not saying the bar is garbage however when a integral part of the bar, which is of prime importance to ones safety is faulty, action by the manufacturer has to be expedited.
It is probably being touted as a few isolated instances world wide. Well the kiters safety is the No 1 priority so every bar should be recalled and inspected for wear and appropriate measures taken to insure the safety line does what it's supposed to do and for a lot longer than some of the reported bars have.
My car got recalled for a potential faulty door lock after 7 years of no issues. . Better to cover your backside IMHO if your a manufacturer.
Isolated instances can lead to isolated injuries.
Hi mate
When our crew that use the click bar as I mentioned earlier that his safety line snapped resulting in the kite rolling down the beach.
When we started checking out our safety and front lines there was undue early wear on the area mentioned earlier.
We were told by our supplier via the click at manufacturer that we were the only ones in the world that had this problem.Which seemed unfair.
Thanks to our supplier he managed to get
Two of my mates front lines and black depower line replaced under warranty.
Nothing mentioned by the manufacturer about the actual safety line issue with undue wear.
Imo if operating this click bar with a low vee check your safety line where it enters the black depower tube for your own safety.
This click bar as indicated by the manufacturer can be used with low or high vee?
At the end of the day it is the manufacturer's duty of care to investigate this safety line issue.
