Did we watch the same video? the black R1v3 absolutely crushed the blue one here. When it comes to high end performance you do actually pay for what you get, its no coincidence that the race scene is dominated by the most expensive kites on the market: Diablo, R1 and sonic Race. People will use whatever they think will give them a edge. As far as non race foil kites go the Soul and halo (and from what i have heard the capa too!) really does hold your hand and recovers easily from all the "fun" ways you can end up crashing and twisting up a foil kite as a beginner, again you get what you pay for in that regard.
I like the idea of a cheap entry level option but I have heard bad stories of these Pansh kites coming out of the bag with issues and not flying correctly. Which is fine for some people that can tinker and get it to work but it may give others a bad first foil kite experience and put them off the sport. Maybe if they or another brand can make an option in the middle in terms of price and quality between Pansh and the leading brands, that might be a sweet spot to help improve participation.
edit:
also the video provides no context to the rider skill, foils used or like someone mentioned if they were even racing them in anger. so can't really draw conclusions either way, but i invite you to come race your Pansh at the nationals could be a game changer!
