Have ridden this kite a few times and it's ok, stable and predictable. It is definitely not a fast kite though - compared to RRD Religion, Obsession and Type 9. that being said, most riders who cruise around in the surf will like it

I think this has proven to everyone what waxman is really like. To answer his assumptions, yes I live with my parents, not that has anything to do with him, and the best part is that being an apprentice I know I would struggle otherwise. But my big question is how this man has all the balls to have a massive go on a public forum but doesn't say much at all on the local beach where we all kite together. Just shows how much of a man waxman really is. I am glad that everyone has had the chance too see what he is really like...

around here the term waxman is given to someone who plays with themselves too much.

Retzy, me and you go backs fair way and have had our good and bad times, some of which I caused by giving up riding for you guys and riding for whom I am now. But the cause of all of this $h1t is actually a team rider for you whom seems to know a lot more bout kiteboarding than most people in the world. If this person, who I guess everyone knows by now, kept to posting what he actually knew compared to what he thinks he knows and getting personal with people there would not be an issue at all. Just my two cents, I too have had enough of this...

If Waxy only posted what he knew about..... none of this would have started....

So what he rides for F One, who cares Matt is going for Nomads, no-one cares I ride Slingshot.... its what you are happy to ride, we all have a joke on the beach and bag each others kites, we're kiters, its called having fun. To start something personal is out of line.

Each kite brand at some stage has made a lemon, thats what makes the brands stronger, by realising their mistakes and fixing it. To say that this is happening now isn't fair on the riders, shops or kite companies.

Ride what you feel good riding, whether it be the latest 2010 kite or one from 5 years ago.

There really isn't a bad kite, just riders who have NO idea shooting their mouths off about sh!t they have NO idea about.

Blake at the end of the day i dont care if you sit in the carpark with a cabrinah sticker on your car. If you have a problem, which you obviously do and arent a man enougth to deal with it and continualy slag people off down the beach( a lot of that gets back to people you are slaging off). you need to expect some critisism. Being a child and pulling down advertisement for the local kite school is just wrong. If you have a problem with me come down the beach and we will sort it out. Leave out people that arent involved.

Before you start critisising me, take a look at your self at least everyone knows who i am i dont have a fake login name to back myself up, my opinions are mine and mine alone. i dont need to remind you that you loged on l, under a fake name last year bagging nearly every kite brand most of which onboard sell(who you ride for). Most of the posts were pulled from the forum. Then you come down the beach and brag about it.

People dont need to take coments so seriously, we are all hear for a bit of fun, and stiring up the over sensative cabrinah crew is allways good fun.

Directed at waxman... To begin with:

That was not me... i did hear about that at the beach tonight when i arrived with people accusing me of it, but here is the fundamental problem... I WAS 400KM AWAY WHEN IT HAPPENED... i was in Adelaide from Thursday last week, so before you start accusing people have some proof, not just rumour. And as for you being at the beach... your never there, you are as bad as me At least i have an excuse and that is i travel very regularly to see my other half which is the reason i was away when the vandalism occured...

Now for the so called fake login. I did create a false login for one night, and that was when the forum topic 'are cabrinha kites that uncool' was created. Now for everyone to know, i listed every brand of kites out there in separate topic names so everyone had a chance to bash every kitebrand as much as they wanted. I thought i was evening up the pitch, but in any case they were all removed by the moderators, which is completely up to their discretion. For your information waxman, since that night i have not used it and just so everyone can check the login name was CABRINHAKITE. and yes waxy i did go to the beach and laugh about how it only took less than three hours for all the topics of mine to be deleted... so your really a hero for exposing the biggest conspiracy of the 21st century

As for people not taking comments seriously... I dont... expect when you get personal.

And finally to my rant, your comments about me slagging people off.... i think we can all say we are not perfect and i have had a bitch about some people, but also have told them to their face what i don't agree with... so when your finished... i have had enough of this cr@p. I think the saying is don't go throwing stones in glass houses?

yep, no local shop sponsorship deal is worth this much angst. ride what you like, have fun, and let others do the same.

the crew who read this stuff are smart enough to know the difference between a review, a pimp-fest, and a brand-bash. if you want to post a review based on experience, great. if not, save your energy for something constructive.

if you're not enjoying kiting, take a break. if you're not getting on with your local crew, either find a way to resolve it peacefully, or give each other some breathing room till something shifts.
